Leaving Certificate grade per Subject since 2015

The Leaving Certificate is the terminal examination for secondary level students in Ireland.

The data set given here is based on data made available by the Department of Education, and contains percentages of students and number of students obtaining each grade for each subject.

Some of the Leaving Certificate subjects are available at different levels. These can be Higher, Ordinary and Foundation levels. The column titled ‘Level’ indicates these levels, and can be used to filter the data:

  • A = Higher Level
  • G = Ordinary Level
  • B = Foundation Level

This data set (2015-2022) is available for you to analyse and to share insights on subjects across various years.
